Our Custom Design Process

We CollaboratE
When you place an order for a custom plate, you will be emailed a template file (see it here). Using MS Paint or any image editing software, you can mark up the template, send it back as an attachment. Or, if you prefer to just explain in your reply what labels you want and where, that works too!
Mock-Up
Based on the information provided, you will receive a mock-up taken from the Lightburn laser software for you to review and make further edits as necessary.
YOU APPROVE
Once you are completely satisfied with the latest mock-up, your approval kicks off the fun part!
We Build It/We Ship It
Here we turn an ordinary piece of acrylic into something useful and send it to you to enjoy.

Our Panels are Better

Stock faceplates from the manufacturers are generally 1.7mm or less in thickness. All Laser-Smith plates are made from cast acrylic and are 3mm* thick for better durability. Our plates are precisely designed to ensure a perfect fit and guaranteed to to be easier to swap out. *Acrylic thickness from the manufacturer can vary slightly. Customer can specify 1.5mm thickness for custom plates if desired.
